What are the warning signs you need to take a vacation?

If you’re feeling the need to get away from it all, you’re not alone: A new poll suggests Americans would take four vacations a year if they could.

In fact, the poll of 2,000 people, sponsored by Apple Vacations, showed that there are warning signs to alert us that it’s time for a getaway.

Nearly 30% of those polled say they feel “physical and emotional indicators” telling them it’s time to take a break, while 52% say it shigh stress levels, and 47% say feeling restlessness and fatigue let them know it’s time for vacation.

Fifty-five percent say irritability, and nearly 50% say an inability to focus at work lets them know it’s time to get away; 48% say when they find themselves frequently daydreaming, it’s time to pack it in for a while.

That said, 46% of those polled say traveling itself, and packing to leave, are the most stressful parts of a vacation. Thirty-eight percent, by contrast, enjoyed actually traveling to where they were going.

One in 10 say it takes a full day on vacation to begin to unwind.

The poll also showed that 60% admit they’re already planning their next vacation the day they get back to the old grind.
