Michigan home features a throne-like toilet fit for a king or queen

It’s a common saying to refer to the toilet as the porcelain throne. However, one Michigan homeowner who’s selling their home took the phrase literally, making their toilet into an actual throne.

The luxurious 5,800 square-foot Detroit home, also known as the “House of Charm,” boasts three bedrooms and five bathrooms in total, according to the listing. Photos of the property show that the toilet in question appears to be made of wood, complete with armrests and a candle holder attached to the top of the backrest.

The home was built by the “Lady of Charm” Edyth Fern Melrose, who “hosted her cooking and talk show on location,” according to the listing, which also states that the current owners have done some improvements “adding space and modern amenities” while still “maintaining its natural charm.”

The house is currently listed for $979,000.
