Mayfield activated

Mayfield was activated nine days after testing positive for COVID-19. He hasn’t practiced in two weeks, but coach Kevin Stefanski anticipated Mayfield starting versus Green Bay.

— Ravens quarterback Tyler Huntley is listed as questionable for Sunday’s showdown with the Bengals due to an illness that caused him to miss Friday’s practice. Lamar Jackson is questionable with a sprained ankle that caused him to miss last Sunday’s loss to the Packers, which means Josh Johnson could start at Cincinnati.

— The Bears will start third-string quarterback Nick Foles on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. Justin Fields has an ankle issue and Andy Dalton has a groin injury. Foles was the Super Bowl MVP for Philadelphia after the 2017 season, but basically has not played since Week 10 of last season

— Jets coach Robert Saleh remains in COVID-19 protocols and will likely miss Sunday’s game against the Jaguars. Both teams are in contention for the No. 1 pick in the upcoming draft.

— Authorities say a passenger in a car driven by Washington safety Deshazor Everett was killed when the vehicle slammed into several trees and rolled over. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office says the passenger died at a hospital after Thursday night’s crash along a road near Aldie, Virginia. A team statement says Everett was being treated at a hospital for injuries that were serious but not life-threatening.
