Cat-dog duo snag Guinness World Record

What do Lollipop and Sashimi have in common? Nothing normally, but in this case, those are the names of a cat-dog duo who just snagged themselves a Guinness World Record.

According to Guinness, the pair broke the record for fastest 5m on a scooter by a dog and cat pair with a time of 4.37 seconds.

5-year-old Boston terrier Lollipop and 7-year-old Bengal cat Sashimi were raised together by their owner Melissa Millett, 40, a professional dog trainer in Ontario who explained that two furry friends learned the trick all on their own.

“One day during practice, Lollipop was working on her scooter riding when Sashimi ran over to try and steal a turn! Sashimi jumped on the scooter first, then Lollipop jumped on and started pushing her. We were shocked!!! They had made up this trick themselves!!!” she said.

Lollipop and Sashimi will be featured in the Guiness World Records 2022 book.
