A visitor to the Illinois State Fair last week has been reunited with an unusual piece of lost property — their dentures.
As previously reported, the Illinois State Police’s official Facebook page asked over the weekend, “Are you missing something? Your dentures were found over in Conservation World. They are now at the lost and found at the Grandstand.”
A few days later, the case of the missing denture-wearer got its happy ending, with the teeth reunited with their rightful owner.
“The owner has been in contact with the lost and found and should be reunited with their previously misplaced pearly whites very soon,” wrote the officer. “Thank you to all that made this reunion a reality. Thank you and now back to your regularly scheduled scrolling…,” followed by a smiley face emoji.
“Alright, that’s enough. Seriously though, come get your teeth. Haha,” the post concluded.
