Cherry Fun In The Sun

(The Dalles, Oregon) June 11th, 2021 – The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce Cherry Fun in the Sun this July. 

Cherry Fun in the Sun includes a Cherry Trail, Cherry Hunt, Window Decorating Contest, Little Royals, and a Fun in the Sun Pop-up Market every Saturday through the month of July, Farmers’ Market in The Dalles City Park, concerts and live music in Little Music City, Waterfront Wednesday’s at Bargeway Pub, a Block Party Downtown, plus an Independence Day Celebration brought to you by Fort Dalles Fourth, just to name a few. 

The Cherry Trail will take guests around the area to try local cherry specials. Once the guest has completed their Cherry Trail Passport, they can turn it in to be entered into a raffle. The winner will take home a basket filled with local treasures. 

The Cherry Hunt will encourage visitors and locals to look for a wooden cherry hidden in businesses all over our community. Once they find the wooden cherry, they will get a free sticker and will be entered into a raffle for a local gift basket. 

The Little Royals return this year!! From now until June 18th, submit an application online for your child to be considered for the Miss Royal Ann and Mr. Royal Andy competition OR drop off a 5×7 photograph of your child and an application at The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce (404 W. 2nd Street The Dalles, OR 97058). 

New this year we will be offering a Cherry Fun in the Sun Pop-up Market at The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce parking lot every Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm during the month July. Spaces are reserved for Wasco County Vendors. 

Cherry Fun in the Sun is a community wide event that welcomes locals and visitors. Join in and help us create Cherry Fun in the Sun with activities in The Dalles celebrating that amazing fruit the CHERRY! We can’t wait to have you join us.
