Goldendale Fire Department responds to structure fire on Main Street

The Goldendale Fire Department was paged to a structure fire at 230 E Main St, Goldendale WA on April 5, 2021 at approximately 01:32 p.m.  GPD officers also dispatched arrived to assist and ensure occupants of the adjacent unit evacuated safely.

Mutual aid assistance from Rural 7 fire and Goldendale Medic was requested. On arrival, command reported the structure was completely involved. One person was treated by KCEMS and transported to Klickitat Valley Health. The fire was contained to the single structure. 

This fire is an example of how partnership within all the first responder agencies make all the difference, said Chief Halm. Our partners on this fire KCDEM911, KCEMS, KPUD, Avista, Goldendale Public Works, Rural7 and GPD.

The cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time.

Goldendale Fire is a full volunteer department with volunteer opportunities for entry level firefighter, firefighters, EMS and Non Emergency Support Personnel.
