A library fail of hissstoric proportions

A Pittsburgh woman found more than information in a book she borrowed from the Carnegie Mellon University Libraries — inside was a bag with a snake in it.

“So, um… weird question: is this your snake?? My wife checked out a book of poetry from
@CMULibraries and it came with a snake in a bag,” a Twitter user shared, along with a picture of the snake. “Please RT, we would love to hear how it got there, and also from people who use flattened snakes in bags for bookmarks.”

CMU Libraries said it was a “hissstory book” and then politely asked readers not to put snakes in books.
