In what sounds like a cartoon bit, a naked man grabbed a “for sale” sign and went on a bit of a frenzy.
Manchester Evening News reports Ryan Cunliffe, 24, got extremely drunk one night in December. He stripped off his clothes after his pants fell around his ankles and tripped him — then threatened paramedics, kicked an officer who tried to pry a bottle of wine from his hands and damaged people’s property. He also got his hands on a “for sale” sign and brandished it like a weapon.
He also shouted some pretty nasty things at the cops, who were forced to arrest him.
After spending some time in the drunk tank, Cunliffe sobered up and, upon learning what he did, became “mortified and started to cry.”
This isn’t his first drunken offense. A judge sentenced him to six months imprisonment suspended: “You are at peril of imprisonment if you commit another offence before December 2023,” the judge noted.
Recorder David Wilson also warned, “It is your last chance,” and extended his alcohol addiction treatment requirement by another six months.
