Socks are great — until you step in something wet. Well, imagine being forced to wear them in the bathtub all to satisfy your partner’s foot fetish. Now imagine your partner getting jailed for it.
British publication Metro reports that a 37-year-old film and TV actor named Gavin Eyles made his girlfriend wear socks all the time — yes, even in the bath — because he had a major foot fetish. Apparently, he didn’t want anyone else to see his lady’s feet, and mandated she only remove her socks if he gave her permission.
Obviously, the girl headed for the hills, because he also forced her to ask permission to take a shower or even pick out an outfit. Eyles apparently also said he would harm himself if she ever left.
Eyles didn’t like that his girlfriend kicked him to the curb, so he began staking her. He even hid in her cupboard at one point and called her 128 times. The guy, who can be seen in Muppets 2 and Harry Hill: The Movie, apparently was unable to use his “but I’m an actor” excuse to get a lighter sentence and is serving nearly three years in prison.
The ex-girlfriend was also granted a 10-year restraining order, and Detective Inspector Angela Middlewood calls Eyles him “despicable.”
