Woman who made over $30,000 selling farts, forced to retire due to gas

(NOTE NATURE, CONTENT) A woman who made money by selling farts had to retire after farting too much caused a health scare.

Former reality star and self-proclaimed ‘fartrepreneur,’ Steph Matto, 31, was making five figures a week, or about $37,000, selling canned jars of her flatulence for $1,000 a piece, LADbible reports.

The gig required her to maintain a high-fiber diet of beans and eggs, later adding protein shakes to the repertoire after realizing it made farts smell worse.

Then, one day, Steph felt ill, and found it hard to breathe to the point that she had a friend take her to the hospital.

“I thought I was having a stroke and that these were my final moments,” she said.

After being evaluated, it was determined that what she felt was very intense gas pains.

“I was advised to change my diet and to take a gas suppressant medication, which has effectively ended my business.”
