SANDUSKY, Ohio (AP) — For most Cleveland Browns fans, this NFL season was one in which they could finally let their hair down, as the team posted its first winning season since 2007. But for one Browns fan, the team’s success was a chance to let his hair get cut. Season ticket holder Jeff Panovich vowed in 2014 that he wouldn’t cut his locks until the Browns had a winning season. And now that the Browns did their part, going 12-5 on the season, Panovich has done his part — by parting with his hair. The Port Clinton News-Herald newspaper reports Panovich got his first haircut in six years this past Saturday. And his losing his ponytail proved to be a win-win situation. Panovich donated his shorn locks to Wigs for Kids, a nonprofit which makes wigs for children who have lost their hair because of medical issues.
