A California family is remembering a remarkable life after a 97-year-old man named Vito recently died during his birthday celebration — ironically, just moments after dancing to the Bee Gees‘ classic “Stayin’ Alive.”
According to a TikTok video, which showed Vito dancing and enjoying the party with family and friends, he had just danced to “Stayin’ Alive” when he suddenly suffered a medical emergency and died. Loved ones say he was active, full of energy, and celebrating exactly the way he loved.
While the timing struck many as bittersweet, his family says there’s comfort in knowing he spent his final moments surrounded by loved ones, music, and celebration. As one person at the party put it, “If there’s any way he could have chosen to go out it would have been like this.” (NY Post)
