Actor Noah Wyle has been named People magazine’s 2026 “Sexiest Man Alive.”
The 55-year-old star of HBO Max’s hit medical drama The Pitt told People he never imagined receiving the honor and says his first reaction was to think the announcement was a prank. He said, “Just not in a million years did I think this would be an honor bestowed on me in this lifetime.”
The recognition caps off a big year for Wyle, who recently won Emmy Awards for his work on The Pitt. Best known for playing Dr. John Carter on ER, Wyle said his wife was amused by the title and encouraged him to embrace it. Wyle succeeds Jonathan Bailey, People’s 2025 “Sexiest Man Alive,” and joins a list of past winners that includes George Clooney, Chris Evans, and Paul Rudd.
