A Texas man learned the hard way that “doing whatever I want” doesn’t always work out.
The sheriff in Jasper County says he saw 44-year-old Clint Allen Craft riding a bicycle on Highway 96. The bicycle had bolt cutters attached to the frame and he was wearing a T-shirt that read, “I do a thing called whatever I want.” Nothing he was doing is illegal, but the sheriff called him over for what he described as a “consensual conversation,” noting that Craft was under no obligation to answer any of his questions. But during their chat, he says Craft consented to a search and that’s when he was found in possession of methamphetamine.
Craft was arrested and booked into the Jasper County Jail on a felony drug possession charge. The sheriff later joked about the man’s shirt but said officials would try to help him get assistance while also ensuring he faces the charges in court. (The Examiner)
