5-YEAR-OLD HAILED A HERO FOR SAVING HIS GRANDMOTHER IN EMERGENCY

A quick-thinking five-year-old boy in Michigan is being celebrated as a hero after racing down the street to save his grandmother following a sudden medical emergency.

When Terri Ketelhut collapsed from dehydration while watching her grandchildren, young Hudson Tenn jumped into action. His first idea was to grab grandma’s keys and drive to find help. Luckily, he couldn’t find the keys — or we might have different story.

Hudson’s next idea was much better. He grabbed his little sister, Harper, kept her safely on the grass, and walked to flag down passing neighbors. Hudson guided the helpful drivers back to the house to call 911, making sure first responders arrived quickly.

It all worked out. Deputies from the sheriff’s office arrived and were able to care for Terri and arrange for a trip to the hospital, where she made a full recovery.

And earlier this week, local officials presented both Hudson and Harper with a Citizen Citation Award — making them the youngest recipients of this award in county history.
