Ben Affleck  Calls Justice League Reshoots “Low Point” of His Career

Ben Affleck has described the troubled production of 2017’s Justice League as the lowest point of his career, criticizing Warner Bros. for replacing director Zack Snyder with Joss Whedon.

Appearing on the Happy Sad Confused podcast Monday, Affleck said the studio mishandled Snyder’s departure following the death by suicide of his daughter, Autumn.

“If you want the low point of my career, it was that,” Affleck said, referring to the extensive reshoots under Whedon.

Affleck accused the studio of using Snyder’s family tragedy as an excuse to remove him, describing the situation as “so gross.”

The actor, who portrayed Batman in the DC franchise, said the experience contributed to his decision to abandon plans to direct a standalone Batman movie.

Despite his criticism, Affleck praised Snyder’s eventual release of his own version, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, in 2021. (TheWrap)
