Olympia – The State Fire Marshal’s Office (SFMO) All-Risk Mobilization Program has been authorized to support 46 incidents as of September 28, 2026. The All-Risk Mobilization Program is an integral component of Washington State’s emergency response framework, providing assistance to local fire jurisdictions when an incident exceeds local response capabilities. Once a mobilization is authorized, the program processes reimbursement of eligible costs incurred by responding agencies for resources assigned to the incident. SFMO mobilization staff also provide on-scene and remote support for incident coordination, documentation, and reporting.
The firefighters and other emergency responders deployed through the All-Risk Mobilization Program bring with them the training, certifications, and operational experience they have acquired through their home fire departments and fire districts prior to mobilization. The role of the SFMO All-Risk Mobilization Program is to coordinate the deployment of resources, and process reimbursements for eligible mobilization costs. So far this year, these eligible costs have accumulated to an estimated $41,000,000 which is funded through the Washington State Disaster Response Account.
