A Florida driver was a little too focused on staying fresh, when he should have been more focused on staying on the road.
The Florida Highway Patrol says a 22-year-old man from Auburndale crashed his pickup truck on the Polk Parkway near Lakeland while applying deodorant while driving. Troopers say the truck struck a crash pad and ended up perched on a concrete barrier wall. Nobody was hurt. In a follow-up that only Florida could provide, troopers confirmed the deodorant involved was a stick, not a spray. Authorities say the crash is a reminder that distracted driving can include more than just cell phones. (Tampa Bay Times)
