Only one fuzzy friend can claim that title: Erebus Anomaly, a Maine coon from Wisconsin.
Erebus and his toe beans were recognized by Guinness World Records with the new record for “most toes on a cat.” The young lad tiptoes past the previous record-holder, recognized in 2002, who boasted an extra 10 furry digits.
While a plethora of toes is indeed an, ahem, anomaly, it is more common in Maine coon cats, who tend to have the polydactyl genetic trait. Erebus’ dad has six toes on each paw; most felines are only blessed with 18 in total.
