Odell, Ore. – On Sunday, July 26th, 2026, a Hood River County Sheriff’s Office deputy and civilian were shot at while speaking about an incident that occurred at a wedding in the 4300 block of Summit Drive in Odell, Oregon. No one was struck by the gunfire, and a subject was later taken into custody for charges related to the incident.
Shortly after midnight on Sunday, July 26th, 2026, dispatch received a call about a male subject who threatened to shoot another male subject at a wedding party, then left. A Hood River County Sheriff’s Office deputy arrived on scene and was interviewing the reporting party next to his truck across the road from the wedding venue, when a subject stepped out of the orchard on the other side of the road and fired off multiple shots in their direction before running back into the orchard. No one was struck, and the deputy quickly got innocent parties safely behind vehicles.
Other deputies arrived on scene, as well as units from the Hood River City Police. The shooter was not immediately located. In the investigation that followed it was determined that probable cause existed to arrest Abraham Delgado Bucio (29) of The Dalles, Oregon, who had threatened partygoers, and then attempted to shoot one of them, but the gun did not discharge.
A possible associated vehicle was spotted by the Hood River City Police and followed into Wasco County, where units from the Wasco County Sheriff’s Office, The Dalles City Police, and Hood River City Police stopped it. Abraham Delgado Bucio was arrested in connection with the incident and lodged on multiple felony charges.
