A cat kept all nine of its live intact as she fought off a coyote.
In video shared by ABC station KABC, you can see the cat, named Mama, paw at the coyote and chase it away from her home before climbing up a nearby tree. The video was taken by a neighbor of the cat’s family who witnessed the encounter from across the street.
“I said, ‘Oh my God, that’s Mama!'” says cat parent Debbie Beltran. “Her personality … everything clicked. She’s always been feisty, this type of cat, and has got into fights before so it doesn’t surprise me.”
Mama, who is believed to be about 10 years old, has been lavished with extra attention as thanks for her heroics.
