This alleged thief apparently spiced up his robberies with the help of taco seasoning.
The Florida attorney general has announced the arrest of Keith Wallis, who’s accused of using taco seasoning to rob Target of $10,000 in revenue.
How, you ask? Wallis would allegedly grab boxes of trading cards along with an equal number of 99-cent taco seasoning packets, and take his haul to self-checkout. However, he allegedly only paid for the taco seasoning and took the cards home to sell on eBay.
Wallis allegedly ran this scheme 75 times across multiple Target locations throughout Florida. His ill-gotten eBay gains totaled nearly $40,000.
