It can be unnerving to hear a noise coming from inside the walls — just ask the students of Hogwarts when the Chamber of Secrets was opened — but for the family of a missing cat, it was a sign of hope.
Ireland’s Cork City Fire Brigade reports that the family heard cries from inside the walls of their home after two weeks of searching for their lost cat. The family gave permission to responders to create a hole in the wall, after which they successfully located the cat using a thermal imaging camera.
“We’re delighted to report she was removed safely and reunited with her very relieved and happy owners,” the fire brigade says.
