They are not dead yet, despite what the computer says

A Maine health care system’s glitch had a bunch of people reenacting that one scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

A total of 531 very much alive patients received a letter from MaineHealth that expressed condolences over their deaths. The letter contained information relevant to the deceased’s next of kin, or would be relevant if the person involved was actually dead.

A MaineHealth spokesperson tells ABC News that the letters were sent out due to a computer system error.

“MaineHealth sincerely regrets this error and has sent apology letters to all patients who have been affected,” the spokesperson says. “At no time were these patients listed as deceased in their medical records and the issue has been fully resolved.”
