Columbia River Gorge Commission voted to postpone the final vote on a set of changes to the Management Plan

After a robust discussion yesterday, members of the Columbia River Gorge Commission voted to postpone the final vote on a set of changes to the Management Plan that would ease the burden of rebuilding for those who lost homes in the Rowena and Burdoin summer fires.

The reason for the delay was to allow the tribes a full 30 days to comment on the changes. The record will be kept open and anyone can comment.

Commissioners had not planned to hold a meeting in December, but will now do so on December 16 to hold a final vote on the plan’s many changes. I
