Drivers in Sherwood, Oregon, had reason to exclaim, “Holy cow!”
According to the Sherwood Police Department, a herd of cows had escaped and were blocking local roadways.
“Officers had an amoosing start to their shift this morning!” the Sherwood PD writes in a punny Facebook post. “Community members called in this moomergency after seeing multiple cows cruising through the neighborhood and blocking the roadway.”
Dubbed the #SirLoinSquad, the cows caused “udder mayhem” after breaking through a fence.
“Officers and community members worked together to steer them in the right direction,” the post concludes. “The cows were picked up by their owner and are back safely behind barns.”
