Wasco County Grand Jury Indicts Man for Abuse of Corpse

THE DALLES, OR – August 27, 2025 – The Wasco County District Attorney’s Office announced today that a Wasco County grand jury has indicted Richard Michael Robinson for Abuse of Corpse in the Second Degree. The indictment is in connection with the remains of He “Kiki” Meihong, which were discovered last month in a U-Haul storage unit in The Dalles.

In Oregon, Abuse of Corpse is defined as intentionally abusing a corpse or disinterring, removing, or carrying away a corpse and is a Class C felony. The typical punishment under the Oregon Sentencing Guidelines is probation.

The grand jury also indicted Mr. Robinson on two enhancement factors, which allows the District Attorney’s Office to seek a prison sentence of up to 24 months upon his conviction.
