Yakima, Wash. – The Yakima Valley Special Investigations Unit (YVSIU) is currently investigating an officer-involved shooting that took place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at approximately 7:39 p.m. The incident occurred near the intersection of East Walnut Avenue and 3rd Street in Yakima, Wash.
The Washington State Patrol and YVSIU are asking for the public’s assistance.
