If you feel self-conscious about wearing a toupee, you can be comforted by the fact that you haven’t also been arrested for cocaine possession.
According to The Associated Press, a man tried to smuggle 220 grams through Colombia’s Cartagena airport hidden under a wig attached to his head.
The scheme, which one might figuratively and literally call “hairbrained,” was thwarted by an airport scanner before the would-be drug mule boarded his flight to Amsterdam.
Police posted video of the smuggler’s toupee being removed with scissors, which is probably not how he envisioned getting a cut of the deal.
