In June 2023, Adventist Health bought Mid-Columbia Medical Center (MCMC) in The Dalles. The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) reviewed and approved this deal and is now conducting a 1-year follow-up review as required by state law.
OHA wants to understand how the change in ownership may have affected health care services at MCMC, now called Adventist Health Columbia Gorge (AHCG). We’re seeking to hear from patients, health care providers, employees, community members, and health plan representatives who have interacted with AHCG hospital or clinics in the past year. Things OHA is interested in knowing include:
- How easy or hard has it been for patients to obtain appointments?
- Did AHCG offer the type of care patients needed?
- Did AHCG continue to accept peoples’ insurance?
- Have patients been satisfied with the quality of care they received?
- How have employees experienced the change in ownership?
- How have health plans contracting with Adventist Health experienced the change?
