Doggone it: Teens break into racecourse … during police dog training

Three teens were arrested for breaking into a new Zealand racecourse facility that also happened to be holding a police dog training session.

The trainee dog handler teams got a pop quiz when instructor Sgt. Josh Robertson sprung them into action, surrounding the building while the trespassers were still inside.

“The dog-team course attendees cordoned the building quickly which allowed Constable Menzies and dog Hayes to clear the building with the help of the PST staff,” Robertson tells Stuff.

The teens were arrested without incident.
