Airport security mistakes woman’s power bank for adult toy

(NOTE NATURE) A Vancouver woman had an amusing, if not slightly embarrassing, experience when her bag was flagged by airport security because they thought she might be carrying a knife.

However, the situation got even more embarrassing.

“I got stopped at security at the airport and they asked me if I had a knife, which of course I didn’t,” Lucia shared on the social platform X. “Then they awkwardly asked if I had a ‘self pleasuring device’ in my backpack and I was HORRIFIED… Turns out it was my Blizzcon exclusive Diablo III Soulstone Power Bank.”

Believe it or not, Lucia’s experience carrying the spiky, cone-shaped gaming device is actually pretty common. So much so, it sparked conversation on Reddit regarding how to travel with real adult items.

While many users noted that airport security personnel are experienced in these matters and usually discreet, they suggest packing the toy in your checked luggage to avoid embarrassment.

Otherwise, you can carry the item with you on the plane, but just remember to remove the batteries to avoid accidental activation. A see-through plastic bag is also recommended.
