Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt today announced that a Multnomah County Circuit Court judge sentenced Christopher Lee Pray, 39, to 22 years in prison after he entered a plea for multiple charges from incidents that took place between 2022 and 2024.
Senior Deputy District Attorney Eric Zimmerman represented the State in Pray’s cases. The total sentence is the result of a negotiated plea agreement with the defendant and his counsel to resolve several open cases. As part of the agreement, Judge Lavin sentenced Pray as follows:
- Case #23CR20824
- 130 months for one count of Assault in the First Degree with a Firearm and one count of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree with a Firearm.
- Case #22CR35606
- 90 months for one count of Robbery in the First Degree with a Firearm, consecutive to the sentence in the above case.
- Case #23CR20820
- 70 months for one count of Assault in the Second Degree, Constituting Domestic Violence, with 44 months consecutive to sentences in above cases and 26 months concurrent.
- Case #23CR32494
- 30 months for one count of Criminal Mischief in the First Degree and Attempted Escape in the Second Degree, concurrent with sentences in above cases.
- Case #24CR28072
- In an unindicted accidental death case, the defendant was sentenced to 130 months for one count of Manslaughter in the First Degree, concurrent with sentences in above cases.
Pray is currently in custody in Multnomah County and will be transported to the Oregon Department of Corrections to serve his sentence.
The DA’s Office thanks the many law enforcement officers and detectives who assisted with these cases. The office is pleased to resolve multiple open cases at once and that Pray’s sentence will prohibit him from further harming the community for the foreseeable future.
