City of The Dalles Police Department
The City of The Dalles Police are calling for witnesses and information as they investigate a reported assault last week. The victim was a 65-year-old female who reported being assaulted near her residence on May 29th at about 11:30pm. The victim was injured in the assault and only limited details about the attacker were available.
If you were in the area of the 3000 block of Klindt Drive on Wednesday May 29th around 11:30pm and saw anything suspicious, please contact The Dalles Police and ask for Sergeant Nagamatsu. Any detail can be helpful.
If you are out in the evenings, it is good practice to stay in groups and be aware of your surroundings. Call 911 immediately if you are harassed, assaulted or feel unsafe.
There is no reason to believe that there is an ongoing threat of any kind.
