The Wasco County Commissioners have a busy meeting coming up Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 4:00. On the agenda is discussing the Sheriff’s Office patrol funding, a fireworks ban within the unincorporated areas of the County, as well as a county wide burn ban.
The ban is scheduled to be instituted June 10 and will remain in effect until fire authorities determine that it’s safe to be lifted.
During the wildfire season, citizens are reminded of the various evacuation levels: level 1 means be ready to evacuate and be aware of the danger in the area, level 2 means be set to evacuate there is significant danger in the area and you should be ready to leave in short notice, and level 3 means go now, leave immediately because there is extreme danger and is unsafe to stay.
Again, the levels are Be Ready, Be Set, Go Now.
