WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) released this statement regarding Boeing’s lockout of members of International Association of Fire Fighters Local I-66:
“Safety needs to be the top priority at Boeing, and that includes having highly-trained firefighters on the job. The members of Local I-66 deserve fair wages and a good contract that values their work. Boeing should let them continue to work while they negotiate, and everyone should return to the table to bargain in good faith for a strong deal,” said Sen. Cantwell.
