The chances of winning the $1 million prize in Massachusetts’ 100X Cash $10 game are one in 1,612,800. The odds of wining a million bucks in the state’s Lifetime Millions game are one in 8,400,000, according to the Massachusetts Lottery website. Christine Wilson, of Attleboro, Massachusetts, beat both those odds in a little over two months.
Wilson claimed her first $1 million prize in the Lifetime Millions $50 instant ticket game back on February 23. She completed the highly improbable feat in the 100X Cash $10 instant ticket game 10 weeks later.
She chose to collect both $1 million payouts as one-time payments of $650,000 before taxes.
Wilson told the website she planned to use her first lottery payout to buy a new SUV; the second was earmarked for savings.
