Such kneadless violence: Suspect arrested for pelting roommate with pizza dough

A St. Petersburg, Florida, man has been arrested for allegedly hitting his roommate with a wad of pizza dough.

Joseph Tresselt, 32, was reportedly recently making pizza when he got into an argument with Elvis Singleton, 62, after Singleton “started making sounds like coughing, in a way that was to irritate him,” according to The Smoking Gun.

He also claimed he heard “voices telling him how to make the pizza.”

Tresselt reportedly threw a piece of dough on the floor, then again at Singleton, striking him in the head.

Singleton reportedly wasn’t injured, with police noting there was “no visible bruising” following the incident.

Tresselt was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery, as well as criminal mischief for allegedly breaking a piece of furniture in Singleton’s room. He was held county jail in lieu of $1,150 bail.

Tresselt, who has assaulted Singleton once before, was also ordered to have no contact with Singleton and was barred from returning to the pair’s apartment.
