Vancouver Fire responds to a house fire with arching power lines.

At 22:40 on 4/5/2024 Vancouver Fire was dispatched to the report of a house fire with power lines arching outside the house at 3508 X St.  Vancouver Fire responded with ~25 suppression personnel and arrived within five minutes. PUD was requested to nullify the power lines.  Initial crews arrived to find a duplex on fire with reports of people still inside. The fire department quickly assigned crews to search the structure for people and extinguish the fire.  The fire was determined to be under control shortly after.  No one was found inside the structure, no one was injured.  The red Cross was contacted to assist with the displacement of six people. 

Fire District 6 sent one fire engine to the scene.  American Medical Response responded with one ambulance for medical standby.
