NOTICE OF UPCOMING TRAFFIC DISRUPTION AND ROAD CLOSURES
THE DALLES, Oregon – March 25, 2024
Davey Tree Company will be conducting tree planting operations along W 2nd Street and other side streets, which will cause intermittent parking spot closures along 2nd Street from Tuesday, April 2, through Thursday, April 4. Intended work hours will be between 7am and 6pm, and parking should be open and available outside of those hours.
The City is investing in the community through the planting of street trees along W 2nd ST. Both the North and South sides of W 2nd St, including many of the side streets, will receive new street trees. It is our goal to make this improvement as easy as possible for all local businesses and pedestrians. In an effort to avoid impacts to businesses, we will be keeping sidewalks open to all foot traffic throughout the planting process. Please use extra caution when navigating W 2nd St, as crews will be working hard to complete this work. Should any issues arise, please contact Michael Spaulding, District Manager for the Davey Portland office, for assistance. We appreciate your support and will do everything we can to alleviate impacts to your operations. As soon as the plantings are complete, we will open the full sidewalk and parking spaces.
