A routine trip to the bathroom became a major hassle for one poor Delta Airlines passenger who was forced to spend 35 minutes in the lavatory after the door got jammed mid-flight.
The man was eventually saved by the airplane’s pilot, who is seen in a video obtained by People kicking the door in.
The door eventually opens, followed by the pilot and the relieved passenger shaking hands.
As compensation, Delta offered the passenger the equivalent of $23 in air miles, according to KLTV.
A spokesperson for Delta tells People in a statement, “We have been in contact with the customer following this situation with an offer of apology and are investigating the situation to better understand the root cause and make any changes, as needed, to address the matter going forward.”
