All in the “line of doody”: Burglary suspect confronted by police while in the toilet

(NOTE CONTENT) Police work can be a crappy job sometimes, and that was literally the case for officers from the Lakewood, Colorado, Police Department when they confronted the suspect while he was on the crapper.

Per an LPD Facebook post, officers responding to a burglary alarm that went off in the wee hours of the morning on Thursday, February 29, arrested the alleged thief while he was using the bathroom.

“While we see a lot of things in the line of doody, we had no clue what awaited us this time!” read the post, which also included a video of the suspect getting up from the toilet and walking out of the bathroom with his hands up and his pants down.

“The suspect was taken to jail (after pulling his pants up) and is being held on 2nd degree burglary charges,” the post concluded.

In retrospect, maybe cops should have ordered the suspect to come out with his pants — not his hands — up.
