Sign warns drivers of “Angry Raccoons Ahead”

Road signs come in handy for alerting drivers to hazardous conditions like dangerous curves and slippery roads, or, as one near Audubon Park in Spokane, Washington, warns, “Angry Raccoons Ahead.”

The obviously phony message was the handiwork of a prankster who was able to access the keyboard compartment a construction sign that was left unlocked, Spokane Public Works’ public information officer, Kirsten Davis, tells KREM-TV.

Davis calls the prank “a light-hearted way to remember how important it is to lock down the devices.”

The construction sign has been fixed, but Davis says the identity of the hacker is still unknown.
