On 10-28-23 at about 2215 hours, Officer Schoenborn, and KCSO deputies responded to a house fire at 1500 S Columbus unit 19. Once the Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire, one deceased male was located inside the home. The man was later identified as the only resident 52-year-old Robert Evans.
The Goldendale Police Department secured the scene. Sergeant Lucatero contacted Q Globel Fire Investigation who responded and investigated the fire scene. Findings from the investigation showed the most likely cause of the fire was and accidental electrical issue, and the cause of death appeared to be smoke inhalation.
