Idaho eatery triumphs with massive 722.8-foot Philly cheesesteak

Idaho’s Main Street Grill in Lewiston made a savory mark by unofficially smashing a Guinness World Record for the lengthiest Philly cheesesteak sandwich.

The restaurant, operated by Happy Days Restaurants, orchestrated the record-breaking feat in Lewiston’s Seventh Street alleyway. Surpassing their 700-foot target, the restaurant’s team constructed a whopping 722.8-foot Philly cheesesteak, outdoing the existing record by 72.5 feet, formerly held by Ohio’s Steak Thyme Bar & Grill with a 650.3-foot creation, The Lewiston Tribune reports.

The colossal sandwich was sliced into 6-inch portions, each retailing for $10, with proceeds benefiting the Boys and Girls Club. Eager to claim the title, Main Street Grill is submitting proof of their accomplishment to Guinness World Records for official verification.
