Emergency crews responded to a fatal house fire that occurred in the Deer Creek Estates, Aurora, OR on Thursday evening, June 29, 2023.
At approximately 7:22 p.m. on June 29, 2023, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an explosion at a house. Sheriff’s Deputies responded along with the Aurora Fire District and neighboring fire departments. During fire suppression, first responders located a deceased victim in the residence. There were no reports of any other victims.
An investigation is being conducted by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Oregon State Police, Aurora Fire District, and the Oregon State Fire Marshals Office. No additional information is available currently.
