Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt today announced that a grand jury indicted Brandon Lewis Briscoe, 47, on two charges relating to the recent shooting death of a woman in Corbett:
- Murder in the Second Degree with a Firearm
- Felon in Possession of a Firearm
On June 3, 2023, Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call at an RV park located at 37000 E. Historic Columbia River Highway in Corbett. The caller indicated that there had been a domestic disturbance between a man and a woman, that gunshots had been heard, and that the man had left the RV on foot with a gun in his hand. Responding deputies located Briscoe in the parking lot of a nearby fire station and took him into custody; they found his wife deceased in the RV with multiple apparent gunshot wounds. Briscoe made several statements to deputies about having killed his wife.
Briscoe was arraigned today and entered a not guilty plea. Deputy District Attorney Brian Davidson is the prosecutor assigned to this case.
A charging instrument is only an accusation of a crime. Briscoe is innocent unless and until proven guilty.
