At 11 am PT, the Greater Idaho movement filed a complaint with the Elections Division of the Oregon Secretary of State’s office. The complaint is substantially the same as this week’s press release.
That previously released statement about Portland groups trying to secretly meddle in an eastern Oregon campaign has been updated with more facts and photographic documentation of the campaign violations:
Mike McCarter, the leader of the movement, also commented on another failure (today) of the Oregon Senate to form a quorum: “Our message to western Oregon is: If you let eastern Oregon join Idaho, there will be no gridlock in your state legislature because there won’t be enough Republicans there to deny quorum.”
