There is no longer an alcohol-free bar in Dublin, Ireland. The Virgin Mary has permanently closed its doors.
Irish Times reports the venue specialized in alcohol-free cocktails, which it started serving in May 2019. The pub’s owners announced at the start of the week that they are closing the bar’s physical location.
But the news isn’t all bad.
“The Virgin Mary Bar is going mobile! As part of the wider [The Virgin Mary] franchise operation, we are thrilled to be bringing our new ‘TVM On The Road’ concept to events, festivals, pop-up venues and much more around the island of Ireland,” they announced on Instagram.
Dublin recently lost a vegan sandwich store, too.
